Sid Wilson has been seen in public for the first time since reports emerged claiming he was no longer a member of Slipknot.
According to TMZ, the longtime DJ was filmed arriving at a recording studio in Los Angeles. In the brief encounter, Wilson kept his comments to a minimum and did not address the reports surrounding his status with Slipknot or reveal what he was working on in the studio.
The appearance comes just days after TMZ reported that Wilson had been informed he was no longer part of the band, citing a source with direct knowledge of the situation. Neither Slipknot nor Wilson has officially confirmed or denied the report.
Since then, speculation has continued to build online. Slipknot guitarist Jim Root previously urged fans not to rush to conclusions, writing on Instagram Stories:
“Don’t believe every thing you read. Stop. Think. Take a breath. Sit with it for awhile. Maybe. Just maybe even wait until there’s more information.”
Mick Thomson’s wife, Stacy Thomson, also appeared to poke fun at the online rumor mill with a pair of social media posts referencing Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, though she never directly mentioned Wilson or Slipknot.
Wilson himself recently broke his social media silence by sharing a promotional video for his independent merchandise store, but likewise avoided commenting on the reports.
For now, Wilson’s latest public appearance offers no additional clarity regarding his reported departure, leaving fans waiting for an official statement from either him or Slipknot.
