Graveyard have announced that guitarist Jonatan Ramm has left the band after nearly two decades.
In a statement shared by the band, Graveyard wrote:
“Hey everyone, we have some news to share. Jonatan has decided to leave Graveyard. We’ve shared so many years, experiences and memories together, and while we’re saddened by his decision, we fully respect it and wish him nothing but the very best in whatever comes next for him. As one chapter comes to a close, another begins. Our new album is on its way and we’re looking forward to getting back on the road and seeing you all again soon! Graveyard will keep moving forward and we’re incredibly grateful for your continued love and support. We’ll see you out there!”
Ramm also shared his own message, reflecting on his time in the band:
“After nearly 20 years with Graveyard, I have decided that it is time for me to leave the band. Twenty years is a long time. Long enough for a band to become more than music. It becomes a way of life, a shared language, and a huge part of your identity… For some time now, I have felt a growing need to reconnect with what music means to me personally — the creativity, freedom, and sense of purpose that inspired me in the first place. Stepping away feels like the right decision, both as a musician and as a person.”
He added that his focus will now be on family and exploring new creative paths, while wishing the band the best moving forward.
Graveyard have not yet announced a replacement, but confirmed that a new album is on the way and touring plans remain in motion.
