As part of ‘The Metallica Blacklist’ effort, which is out now and features 12 Metallica songs covered by 53 artists, Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour) has revealed his “Holier Than Thou” rendition — check out the tune below.
The extensive collection features cover tracks by Weezer, Royal Blood, Cage The Elephant, The Neptunes, OFF!, My Morning Jacket, Rodrigo Y Gabriela, and many more. Grab your copy here.
Regarding the release, Metallica explain further, “The Metallica Blacklist celebrates the enduring influence of Metallica with an unprecedented 50+ artists spanning an unbelievably vast range of genres, generations, cultures, continents and more, each contributing a unique interpretation of their favorite Black Album cut.”
They add, “Available on digital & streaming now and arriving on vinyl & CD on October 1st, all profits will be donated to charities of each contributing artist’s choice along with Metallica’s own foundation, All Within My Hands.”
