Jack Osbourne has shared some new details about Ozzfest 2027, including what fans can expect from the returning festival and the challenges involved in putting together its lineup.
Speaking with Danny Murphy and Evan Real on SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio, Osbourne discussed the process of bringing Ozzfest back and said there has been plenty of excitement surrounding its return.
“It’s been interesting because it’s kind of like finding the old car in the shop being like, ‘All right, let’s get this engine going,’” Osbourne said. “But it’s cool. You know there’s a lot of excitement around it.”
During the interview, Osbourne said more Ozzfest details were coming soon, including information on the festival’s headliners and location.
“We’re going to announce pretty soon. I think in the next couple weeks, we’re going to announce kind of who’s the main headliners and where we’re doing it,” he said.
Ozzfest’s official social media accounts announced on August 17 that the 2027 event will take place at Villa Park in Birmingham, UK, which hosted Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath’s final performances at the “Back To The Beginning” concert in July 2025.
While the venue has now been revealed, a date and lineup for Ozzfest 2027 have yet to be announced.
Jack also confirmed that the returning Ozzfest is being planned as a single-day event rather than a multi-day festival.
“It’s not going to be a multi-day thing,” he explained. “We’re going to kind of stick to our roots of, you know, we did a couple two-day Ozzfest years ago, but it’s just going to be one day.”
Osbourne also discussed some of the challenges involved in curating the lineup, particularly as more established artists launch festivals and events of their own.
“It’s really difficult now,” he said. “A lot of huge bands now are doing their own festivals. They’re doing their own thing.”
When asked whether he looks for artists who have an authentic connection to his father, Jack said, “Yeah, 100%,” pointing to the history Ozzfest has with bands including Slipknot, Disturbed and System of a Down.
Newer artists will also remain part of Ozzfest. Osbourne said the 2027 lineup is expected to feature emerging acts and revealed that organizers are considering setting aside at least one spot for an unsigned artist.
